Terms of Service

Last updated: February 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the DAT (Decentralized Agent Trust) Platform ("Platform") operated by DatOps, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including organizations registering AI agents, developers integrating via our API or SDK, and visitors browsing the website.

2. Description of Service

The DAT Platform provides infrastructure for AI agent identity and trust, including:

  • Decentralized Identifier (DID) creation and management for AI agents
  • Verifiable credential issuance and verification
  • Trust scoring and reputation tracking
  • API key management and credential vaulting
  • Webhook notifications for agent lifecycle events
  • Anomaly detection and audit logging

The Platform is currently available as a testnet environment. Features, availability, and pricing are subject to change.

3. Account Registration

To use the Platform, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including a valid work email address and organization name. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, API keys, and any activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Use the Platform to register agents that engage in fraud, deception, or malicious activity
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
  • Use the Platform to store or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Platform beyond normal API usage

5. API Usage and Rate Limits

API access is subject to rate limits as documented in our API documentation. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for accounts that exceed published rate limits or engage in abusive patterns.

API keys are issued per organization and must be stored securely. You are responsible for all API calls made with your keys. Compromised keys should be revoked immediately via the dashboard.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its code, design, documentation, logos, and trademarks, is the property of DatOps, Inc. and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of data and agent configurations you submit to the Platform.

By submitting agent data, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display it as necessary to operate the Platform.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described therein.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance in advance. Current system status is available at our status page.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DatOps, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DatOps, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Platform.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
